Wayne S. Martin

Wayne Martin joined Reager & Adler in 2008. Prior to graduating from law school, Wayne worked as a licensed Professional Engineer. This dual background and understanding of the technical aspects of clients’ businesses provides an added dimension to the firm’s Land Use, Zoning, Municipal Law, and Construction Law practice areas.

As a structural engineer for nine years, Wayne worked on projects for the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Florida, and District of Columbia Departments of Transportation. His most notable projects include the Bedford Narrows Bridge rehabilitation, a curved concrete arch bridge carrying S.R. 30 over the Juniata River; the Hoboken Viaduct rehabilitation; and the Miami-Dade Expressway, an extension of S.R. 836 in southern Florida that utilizes curved steel box girders with spans up to 300 feet long.

As an attorney, Wayne represents owners (both public and private), design professionals, and contractors in a variety of legal issues including: drafting and reviewing contracts, providing claim avoidance advice, bid protests and disputes, routine commercial disputes and workouts, litigation, alternate dispute resolution, and debt collection.

In his time away from Reager & Adler, Wayne is a member of the Harrisburg Hunters’ and Anglers’ Association. He enjoys hunting, backpacking, and biking and is currently training a bird dog for upland game hunting. He also serves on the board of directors of the Mechanicsburg Art Center School & Galleries, a nonprofit organization offering art instruction, workshops, and exhibits to south central Pennsylvania.
